Picking up on a point I believe accurately made by bdow in another post, why is it so difficult for people to talk about their money "struggles" or "issues" or really anything money-related? I think bdow was right: more people are at ease discussing their sex lives as opposed to money issues. I believe at least part of the explanation is that in this culture we use money as such a marker who a person is. There is so much shame for those who might not make as much or be as finacially savvy. I also think that alot of people misuse money in a variety of ways, know it and are ashamed to talk about.

Just some thoughts here. I'd be curious to know what others are thinking about all this.

In my world, we value ourself through other measures that are harder to achive than money. With money, sometime we get lucky. For example, parents that worked hard enough to set you in a good position for your life. A country or a society that offers you opportunities to pursue. But when you are valued for what you are is even more challenging. I do not think that the world is ready to be valued throughout real time measures. I do not think that most people are ready to accept themself.

I'd be curious to know more about what you mean by real time measures redshoes and people not being ready to accept themselves. I definitely agree if I understand you that we often judge ourselves and others by what we earn & have.
